Note: The
movements in this dance are supposed to be reminiscent of those in Irish step
dancing. During the retiring and
advancing on the diagonal (also advancing and retiring) in the first 8 bars,
the shoulders should be square to the direction of travel, turns sharp, and
hands by sides. Throughout the dance, the
pas de basque turns should also be sharp.
