PART A

1 – 8
|
All four couples dance
men’s chain, men touching left hands across on bars 2 and 6. All finish in promenade hold, men with
partner on right.

9 - 20
|
Reel of four on the 1-3
axis (2 bars to each half loop): 1st
and 4th couples, also 3rd and 2nd couples,
pass right shoulders to begin, then 1st and 3rd
couples pass left shoulders. At the
end of bar 20, all four couples are in a straight line on the 1-3 axis, 1st
and 3rd women facing clockwise, 2nd and 4th
couples facing anti-clockwise, 1st and 3rd men in
original places between their own and partner’s positions.

21 - 24
|
4th and 2nd
men dance out and pull back left shoulder to turn into place between their
own and partner’s original positions on bars 21 and 22
WHILE
1st and 4th
women, also 2nd and 3rd women, turn right hand once
round in 3 bars and use bar 24 to end with all four women back to back in
the centre, facing partner.

PART B
|

25 - 32
|
Women set to partner
and, turning to face in at the end of bar 26, dance four hands round to the
left one place, pulling back right shoulder to face the opposite man; set,
face in, four hands round to the left one place (again finishing with a
long tunrn, this time to face clockwise round the set)
WHILE
men set to partner,
petronella turn one place to the right; set to the opposite woman and
petronella to the right one place to finish facing clockwise round the set.
ALL finish in a
clockwise-facing cross formation, women giving right hands across in the
centre and joining nearer hands with partner.

33 - 38
|
All rotate three places
clockwise in cross formation.
|

39 - 40
|
All advance one more
place, each couple crossing to exchange places with partner, to finish the
rotation in partner’s position at the end of bar 32.

41 – 54
|
Repeat bars 25 – 38 with
the men in the centre and the women on the perimeter.

55 – 56
|
Men cross out to
original places with partner following, to finish in promenade hold.

PART C
|
|
57 - 68
|
Reel of four on the 2-4
axis (2 bars to each half loop): 2nd
and 1st couples, also 4th and 3rd couples,
pass right shoulders to begin, then 2nd and 4th
couples pass left shoulders. At the
end of bar 68, all four couples are in a straight line on the 2-4 axis, 1st
and 3rd women facing anti-clockwise, 2nd and 4th
couples facing clockwise, 2nd and 4th men dancing
past the line (slightly) to end in original places.

69 – 72
|
1st and 3rd
men dance out to original places on bars 69 and 70 pulling back right
shoulder
WHILE
1st and 2nd
women, also 3rd and 4th women, turn right hand once
round in 2 bars, 2nd and 4th women finishing in
original places at the end of bar 70.
1st and 3rd women, passing one another left
shoulder, dance out to original places to face corners as all other dancers
also face corners.

|
All turn corner two
hands once round, advance towards the centre of the set with corner; retire
with partner and turn partner two hands ¾ to finish with women in the
centre of the set for the bow and curtsey.
